HANDY-PERSON / BUILDER

Thirsk Hall Estates are looking to employ a handy-person / builder to work across their residential & commercial property portfolio.

Proficiency in the following areas is required:

  • Carpentry / Joinery
  • Brickwork – including lime mortar pointing
  • Plastering
  • Roofing (repairs)
  • Painting and decorating (including windows)
  • Basic plumbing
  • Basic electrical work
  • Other maintenance tasks.

You will need to be able to demonstrate the above through references.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £21,000.00-£25,000.00 per year

GROUNDS PERSON / GARDENER

Thirsk Hall Estates are looking for a Grounds Person / Gardener to work on multiple sites.

The right candidate will have an eye for detail, be punctual and efficient with their time. At least two years of experience is needed.

Certificates in the use of machinery / equipment will be essential.

Duties will include:

  • Mowing (push and ride on)
  • Weeding
  • Edging
  • Strimming
  • Hedge Cutting
  • Watering
  • Planting (inc. hedges and trees)
  • Chainsaw work
  • Other grounds person / gardening jobs.
  • Other Estate jobs.

8am to 5pm.

You must have your own transport (clean driving licence).

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £21,000.00-£23,000.00 per year

BAR / WAITING STAFF

Join our busy team at weddings and events – working behind the bar and helping keep on top of drinks service.

Hours can fit around you and your availability, but most of our events fall on Thursdays and Saturdays.

Generous renumeration based on experience and ability to commit to the role.

  • To be able to work under pressure
  • Ability to work as a team and independently
  • Willing to work weekends and evenings
  • Not be afraid to ‘get stuck in’ – bar work, glass clearing, pouring reception drinks, moving furniture if required, checking the loo facilities, and keeping the venue looking fabulous throughout the event.

PART TIME WEDDING COORDINATOR

If you are looking for a some part-time work in weddings and events, Thirsk Lodge Barns is the place for you.

Most of our weddings fall on Thursdays and Saturdays, and we can usually runs shifts around you and your availability.

Generous renumeration based on experience and ability to commit to the role.

  • To be able to work under pressure.
  • Happy to do viewings with potential new couples.
  • Ability to work as a team and independently.
  • Be social, confident and happy to talk to everyone.
  • Comfortable to manage the flow of the day including assisting with suppliers and ensuring the day runs on time!
  • Willing to work weekends and evenings.
  • Not be afraid to ‘get stuck in’ – being a coordinator is more than just looking after the couple, if you need to jump on the bar, move furniture, check the loos etc. – we all help out in all areas of keeping the venue looking and running smoothly at each event.
